We ended up trying out the escape room, and ... it was likely the worst escape room we've ever done. It was full of semi-broken gizmos, had absolutely no continuity, and generally didn't make a lot of sense. We fairly handily made it out, with unsolicited help from the game master overlords, but we were happy to get out of there and aren't interested in trying their other room ... We ended up having a great dinner afterwards, and decided to set up a 3 hour van tour of the island for Sunday.

We slept in today and headed into Edgartown for lunch with Inquest, where I then remembered that we hadn't called the Harbormaster yet to extend for the day. I quickly called and was told that we needed to move to the anchorage, so we went right back out to the boat, where Hannah made lunch while I drove us out to the anchorage, and then we dinghied back into town to make it to the tour in time.

The van tour turned out to be pretty great -- it was an opportunity to see things across the island that we never would have without a guide. It was a private tour for the four of us, so we could delay as much as we wanted to at any of the stops, and despite that 90% of the tour was the guide's canned soundtrack, it was great to be able to customize along the way all afternoon. We spent the 3 hours circling the entire island, seeing all of the towns and several of the sights, including the lovely cliffs on the west end of the island. The island has some interesting history, from the early whaling days through to an obscure resort town, and the eventual evolution into super-high-end ritzy escape it is now. It was a fun day together, which we wrapped up by winning a game of Hanabi while having drinks in a gorgeous garden bar, followed by an amazing dinner at L'Etoile. The trip back to the boat was a lovely sunset dinghy ride in perfect summer evening weather, capping off the weekend.

Now, unfortunately, back to reality, where we head back into the work week...
