As suspected, I called the shop at 8am today and they said maybe Monday. I'm not sure which part of "we're leaving Saturday" that I've told them every day this week was Greek to them, but here we are. The mooring field we were staying at ended up needing to kick us out today since we didn't make a longer reservation (waiting every day for some non-useless word from the watermaker folks), so when I hung up with them we just pulled out and headed east.

We've made plans to explore Martha's Vineyard for the next week, and have reservations on moorings for most of the week, but not today. There's a small S-turn cut in the island chain that comes off the cape cod area, letting you through from Buzzards Bay to the ocean, and nestled into one of the S turn jogs is a protected harbor called Hadley Harbor. Reviews on ActiveCaptain made it sound sound appealing and have many fallback options, so we made a beeline over there, and ended up heading all the way into the back and picking up a free mooring ball. It feels a little like you're in someone's backyard in places like this, but that's because you ... are. But it's nice and quaint.

We'll hang here for the night and head down to Edgartown in the morning, with Inquest right behind.
